Transfer workspace ownership

Transferring workspace ownership in Upbase lets you assign the Workspace Owner role to another team member. This is useful when someone else should manage workspace settings and billing.

Workspace Owner role

Each workspace has only one Workspace Owner
The Workspace Owner is the only role that can delete the workspace
The Workspace Owner is the only role that can access the Billing page
(and upgrade or downgrade the workspace plan)

How to transfer ownership

Go to Settings.
Select General.
Click Transfer ownership.

Choose the new owner.
Confirm the transfer.

Important notes

Only the current Workspace Owner can transfer ownership.
After the transfer, the previous owner becomes a regular member of the workspace.
