Recurring tasks

How to create a recurring task

To set a task to repeat in Upbase, follow these steps:

1/ Open the task due date picker and click the "Repeat" button:

2/ Choose and customize repeat frequency

Select the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly, or custom) and customize additional settings based on your preference.

  • Custom - Week: Choose specific days of the week

  • Custom - Month: You have two options:
    • On date: Choose specific days of the month for the task to recur, such as the 1st, 15th, and last date of each month.

    • By week: Set tasks to repeat on specific weekdays, such as the First Monday of each month.

3/ Set an end date or choose indefinite

You have three options:

  • Endless: Let your task recur indefinitely.
  • Repeat [x] times: Specify the number of repetitions, and the task will not repeat beyond that count.
  • Ends on: Set a specific end date for the recurring task, and it will not repeat after that defined date.

Show future recurring tasks in Schedule views

You can view all future occurrences in your Schedule views, providing a comprehensive outlook on your upcoming tasks.

Note: Displaying future recurring tasks is not currently available in the mobile app. We are actively working on implementing this feature and appreciate your patience.

Detach instance: Convert recurrence into independent tasks.

On schedule views, you can easily convert a recurring instance into an independent task.

Also, when you edit the due date of a recurring instance, you have the option to edit only this occurrence or all occurrences. If you select "Only this instance," it will be detached and transformed into an independent task.

  • When detaching an occurrence with existing comments, the comments will be cleared.
  • If you mark an occurrence as completed, it will be detached and converted into an independent task.

Show/hide future recurring tasks in calendar views

In the Weekly Planner, Weekly Calendar, and Monthly Calendar, you have the option to hide future recurring tasks.
